Broadband Horn Antennas
Our line of broadband horn antennas are suitable for a wide variety of applications that require stable antenna performance over extremely broad frequency bandwidths. The best in class radiation patterns remain consistent across the operating frequency band for applications that require broadband performance. Each model is also designed to maintain VSWR across the complete frequency bandwidth.
Broadband Ridged Probes
Our broadband ridged probe (BRP) antennas are used as spherical near-field (SNF) measurement probes and far-field (FF) range illuminators. The wide frequency bandwidth of these probes allows several standard open-ended waveguide probes to be replaced with a single dual ridge horn, thereby eliminating the need to manually change probes. At low frequencies, these probes are typically smaller than equivalent OEWG probes, making testing easier and more convenient.
Focused and Aligned Parabolic Reflectors and Waveguide Feeds
NSI-MI Technologies' Family of Focused and Aligned Parabolic Reflectors and Waveguide Feeds are linearly polarized reflector antennas covering the frequency range of 2.6 GHz to 40 GHz. This product is an assembly consisting of a Parabolic Reflector, Linear Waveguide Feed, a Spider-Leg Mounting Bracket and a Focusing and Alignment procedure for precision. The feed terminating connectors are shown in the table of specifications to the right. Our Coax-to-Waveguide Adapters may be used to provide a coaxial cable input to the waveguide.
Log-Periodic Antennas
Our linear polarized log-periodic antennas are dipole arrays designed to have nearly constant gain and input impedance over a broad frequency range. A mounting flange is located at the base of the array for easy attachment to positioning systems.
Dual Polarized Log-Periodic Antennas
Our dual polarized log-periodic antennas combine broadband coverage with the versatility of dual polarization. They consist of two crossed log-periodic arrays specifically designed for VHF and UHF frequency bands. A mounting flange is provided at the base of the array for easy attachment to positioning systems.
Standard Gain Horn Assemblies
Our standard gain horn assemblies are designed to support accurate and repeatable antenna gain calibration measurements. These assemblies are available to cover frequency ranges from 0.35 to 75.0 GHz. Each standard gain horn is plated and painted to prevent corrosion.
Standard Gain Horns
Our standard gain horns are used in antenna test range applications and are designed to deliver the most accurate and reliable antenna gain measurements between 0.35 to 170 GHz. They are plated prior to painting to prevent corrosion. NRL curves for peak gain are provided with each antenna.
Linear Polarized Feeds
We offer a complete line of linearly-polarized high performance feeds covering frequencies from 0.75 to 110.0 GHz. Each feed horn generates the broad beamwidth (30° 1 dB beamwidth and 60° 3 dB beamwidth) radiation pattern required to optimize the performance of most compact range reflectors. This optimized radiation pattern is maintained over the full waveguide frequency bandwidth, thus maximizing the compact range system performance. Like all other NSI-MI antennas, our the ANT-LPF line is designed and manufactured to provide many years of useful life in the test range.
Dual Polarized Feeds
Our dual polarized feeds are designed to operate over a standard rectangular waveguide band covering frequencies from 1.12 to 60.0 GHz. These feeds combine a high performance broadband orthomode transducer with precision circular waveguide feeding a circularly symmetric waveguide aperture. The two ports of the feed excite two orthogonal modes in the circular guide which radiate orthogonal linearly-polarized fields with cross polarization suppression better than 35 dB.
Waveguide Probes
Our waveguide probes are ideally suited for near-field measurements. These probes are used to sample the radiated electromagnetic field of an antenna under test while minimally perturbing the incident field. They are designed for minimum VSWR, long-term stability and excellent repeatability.
Dual Polarized Probes
We offer a line of dual-linearly polarized high performance probes covering 1.1–40.0 GHz. These probes are designed specifically for near-field antenna measurements and come with typical probe pattern correction coefficients for PNF and SNF measurements*. Each probe covers a typical half-octave frequency band aligning with the standard waveguide bands. The probes utilize a circular aperture that is ideal for spherical near-field measurements and has a knife-edge on the aperture to minimize backscatter in planar near-field antenna measurements. These probes are high accuracy calibration items that come with standard absorber and a mounting cage compatible with most NSI-MI positioners.
Quad Ridged Feeds
NSI-MI quad ridged feeds (ANT-QRF) are used in antenna test range applications, and have been designed to deliver a wideband frequency response. The feeds are available to cover the frequency range from 0.5 to 18 GHz. The ANT-QRF are a good candidate for a compact range feed or use in spherical near-field measurements.
Quad Ridged Horn Antennas
Quad ridged horns are versatile antennas that can be used for a variety of purposes, including spherical near-field (SNF) testing and far-field range illumination. With their wide frequency bandwidth, they can replace several standard Open-Ended Waveguide (OEWG) probes or horns, eliminating the need to manually change range antennas. Quad ridged horns are typically smaller than equivalent OEWG probes at low frequencies, making near-field testing easier and more convenient.
